What Information We Collect and Use:
We only collect information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you when this information is voluntarily provided to us. Such information is generally requested and provided when you register for meetings, donate to SWHR or OSSD, or make purchases at our online store. Credit card information is obtained for the sole purpose of obtaining payment for items purchased at the online store, but it is not transmitted, used, or retained for any other purpose. We maintain this information on our secure servers for our internal processes only. Our registration forms require users to give us contact information that may include name, email address, format preference (HTML vs. text), address, interests, and similar information. We do not request or store sensitive information from our visitors, such as social security numbers.
The referral service for informing a friend about www.womenshealthresearch.org asks for the friend's name and email address. The Society for Women's Health Research will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the site. The Society for Women's Health Research stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email.
Correcting/Updating Personal Information:
If your information changes, or if you no longer desire to receive any information from us, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Upon receiving your request, we will remove your information from our databases.
Personal Information: Any personal information you provide to SWHR while visiting SWHR's website will not be given or sold to any outside companies for its use in marketing or solicitation.
We will not sell, trade or share a donor's personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations; or, we will only share personal information once you have given us specific permission to do so.

We collect an IP address from all visitors to our site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our site, analyze trends, track users' movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. We do not release any information about the collection of this address to any third parties.
