SWHR Testimony on MST
Healing the Wounds: Evaluating Military Sexual Trauma Issues
On May 20, 2010, Phyllis Greenberger,
MSW, President and CEO of the Society for Women’s Health Research,
testified before the House Committee on Veteran's Affairs on the important topic
of Military Sexual Trauma (MST).

On behalf of SWHR, Greenberger recommended that the VA provide sex and gender-specific care for those veterans afflicted with MST. There are relevant sex-based differences that influence how women are affected by MST and respond to various treatment options. She encouraged the VA to offer its female veterans the opportunity to participate in research projects to better serve women and to become a leader in women's health by advancing this research.
