2004 Gala Dinner
SWHR celebrated advances in medical technology at its annual Gala dinner on April 19, 2004, at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, DC.
The program featured Celebrating Innovation — Improving Health and Saving Lives Through Technology, a video highlighting some exciting examples of technology that benefit women’s health.
We were also treated to the music of Christine Baze and the Skills of Ortega. Christine, a cervical cancer survivor, uses her music tour to educate women about the importance of screening and the types of available tests.
SWHR extends thanks to all our friends who supported the event. We were delighted to have had a diverse group of very distinguished guests join us at this year’s Gala, including HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Director Mark McClellan, numerous other federal health agency administrators, NIH directors and renowned women's health advocates, such as Antonia C. Novella, M.P.H., Dr. P.H., Bernadine P. Healy, M.D., and former Congresswoman Patricia Schroeder, J.D. Click here to see photos from the 2004 Gala dinner. |
