Viviana Simon, PhD Vice President, Scientific Affairs
Viviana Simon is the Vice President for Scientific Affairs at the Society for Women’s Health Research. She joined the staff of SWHR as a Programs Manager in 2002. She directs scientific programs at SWHR, including the Isis Fund Interdisciplinary Research Networks on Sex-Based Biology, SWHR’s conference series on sex-based biology. Viviana also serves as the liaison and acting Executive Director for the Organization for the Study of Sex Differences (OSSD).
Prior to joining the staff at SWHR, Viviana was a Senior Editor of human databases at Proteome Inc./Incyte Genomics, where she was in charge of product quality control. Viviana received her B.A. in Microbiology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and her Ph.D. in Cell Biology from Columbia University. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Banting and Best Institute at the University of Toronto, in Ontario, Canada. |
