Internship Opportunities

The Society for Women's Health Research offers internships to students during the school year and over the summer. Typically, two to four interns are selected each semester including summer and assigned to one area of the Society's work. A small stipend is provided and a flexible schedule can be arranged. Internship Title: Development Intern

Job Description: Intern will conduct research to identify prospects for annual gala dinner and other organization programs. Will also assist in the development of individual donor programs. Duties may include but not be limited to Internet research, responding to information requests, assistance with donor mailings, maintaining and updating database, and creation of donor files.

Qualifications: Interest in marketing and fund raising for women's health or related issues, computer and Internet competency, resourceful and creative, sense of humor.

Internship Title: Communications/Media Relations Intern

Job Description: Intern will aid in the organization of two major annual events, including media outreach and planning.  Responsibilities involve various Internet research, writing and editing, fielding phone inquiries, maintaining a database, as well as other duties. 

Qualifications: Previous experience demonstrating excellent written and oral expression, computer competency in Word and Excel, resourcefulness, and good people skills a must.
